1) The Vermilion River runs north from Vermilion to Crane Lake. The river is very scenic and full of small mouth bass. There is a beautiful hiking trail on the shore near Crane Lake (Vermilion Gorge Trail). Canoe trips can be arranged for day trips.

2) Wolf Bay Lodge. Bar with restaurant. Known for Tuesday night live music. Always fun.

3) Wolf Bay is a shallow bay which warms up early providing good spring fishing.

4) The deep hole is a great fishing spot for deep water walleye and crappie.

5) Niles Bay shore lunch site.

6) Oak Narrows is the channel to the eastern portion of Vermilion. The narrows has excellent panfish fishing. Boaters should bring a map to navigate through the narrows.
