Our Response to COVID-19
Updated July 25, 2020
Dear Valued Guests,
With the recent global health challenges related to COVID-19, we at Pehrson Lodge Resort would like to ensure you that your safety is our top priority. Our goal has been and continues to be to provide each group a welcoming and comfortable vacation. At this time, we are confident that we will still be able to provide the Lake Vermilion vacation you have come to expect from our resort, with some slight adjustments in place to ensure everyone who visits remains safe and healthy.
Pehrson Lodge Resort already exceeds the current guidelines requested by health officials. Our resort grounds are spacious and open, allowing appropriate space to accommodate social distancing while enjoying our resort offerings. Make memories by the lake while still following the CDC’s guidelines. Our cabins provide a safe, clean, private space to spend time with your family. Cleanliness in our cabins and across the grounds has always been a priority in our business.
We have established several new measures to help you relax and enjoy your Minnesota vacation, free of worry. These changes will stay in place until social distancing is no longer recommended by the CDC and will be updated appropriately as conditions evolve. Due to the unpredictable nature of the current situation, each registered guest will receive current, updated measures one week before their scheduled check-in date.
Remote Check-In/Check-Out
Beginning in spring 2020, we encourage all guests to check-in remotely prior to your stay and check-out remotely when you depart. This will eliminate the need to come into the Main Lodge on arrival and departure. Guests will be able to complete payment, update reservation details and ask any questions by phone or email. In order to reduce contact, new guest orientation will be accomplished using a detailed, digital map, in place of our traditional resort walking tour. We will also encourage all guests to purchase their fishing licenses online in advance, eliminating the need to congregate at the reception desk.
Delivery Service
This season, we will offer complimentary delivery service of all goods in our Gift Shop and Bait/Tackle Shop, as well as firewood delivery. This includes any food items we offer, clothing, ice, charcoal, live bait, tackle, etc. The Gift Shop and Bait/Tackle Shop will also remain open and sanitized for those who wish to shop in person.
Sanitization Stations
Disinfectant stations will be available throughout the resort for guest use. We welcome guests to wipe down beach chairs and water toys, such as kayaks, Hydro-Bikes, and paddle boards, with disinfectant prior to use. Additionally, our staff will disinfect these surfaces throughout the day.
Housekeeping
We have always taken pride in the cleanliness of our facilities, and that means we will go above and beyond at this time. We will continue to wash our towels and sheets with hot water, bleach and strong detergent, and also dry on high heat. Depending on the circumstances closer to your arrival, we may ask you to minimally adjust your arrival or departure time in order to provide our expert housekeeping staff with the time they need to meet our highest standards of cleanliness. We will hold these same standards for the cleaning of all rental boats.
Public Facilities
We are closely following the State of Minnesota and CDC’s guidelines surrounding gatherings and public places. As of July 25, 2020, per the Governor's Executive Order 20-81, people in Minnesota are required to wear a face covering in all indoor businesses and public indoor spaces, unless alone. This includes our Main Lodge and Tackle Shop. Our fitness center is open to one family group at a time. We ask that you please wipe down equipment before and after use.
When you are in the Main Lodge, please maintain a safe distance between your own group and others. Masks and hand sanitizer are available at the main entrance. Our Kids Program Center remains closed, but we are offering alternative activities for families. Please inquire for details.
Additional Measures
Additional sanitation measures will include increased hand washing efforts by all staff and frequent sanitizing of all publicly used surfaces, such as door knobs and the front desk. We will remain in close communication with local health authorities and abide by all current standards and recommendations.
Pehrson Lodge Resort is committed to providing you a wonderful vacation experience, even during challenging times. As a small, family-run resort, we truly appreciate your business, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your needs. We look forward to seeing you at the lake this summer!
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or to request additional information.
Warm Regards,
The Hansons, Cayla, and the entire team at Pehrson Lodge
